The 2025-26 School Improvement Plan at Golspie High School sets out our strategic priorities for this school year. It’s built around continuous improvement in learning outcomes, wellbeing, and partnership.
Key Priorities
Vision & Values
Reinforcing our core values of challenge, kindness, respect, resilience, and continuous improvement. Fostering a school culture where all pupils feel valued, safe, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Learning & Teaching
Ensuring lessons are challenging, inclusive, and engaging. Supporting staff in developing teaching strategies that respond to the needs of all learners. Ensuring that feedback, assessment, and clear success criteria are used consistently.
Pupil Support & Wellbeing
Building on existing support frameworks so learners feel supported emotionally, socially, and academically. Raising awareness of mental health and ensuring wellbeing remains central to our school’s approach.
Partnership & Community Engagement
Strengthening relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community. Ensuring communication is clear and ongoing. Collecting feedback from pupils, staff, and families to influence school decisions.
Tracking Progress & Raising Attainment
Monitoring pupil performance carefully, particularly in senior phases. Using evidence (data, inspections, feedback) to drive improvement in attainment, closing gaps where they exist.
How We Measure Success
Through our Standards & Quality Reports (which reflect what has improved, what still needs attention, and our next steps).
Regular self-evaluation via faculty meetings, feedback from pupils and parents, and analysis of school data.
Reviewing progress at key checkpoints across the school year (termly monitoring).
