At Golspie High School, we are delighted to offer free instrumental tuition through Highlife Highland’s Music Tuition Service. This enriching programme is available to all pupils and provides weekly lessons during school hours at no cost.
Pupils receive lessons once a week during the school day, usually lasting around 25–30 minutes.
Tuition may be delivered in small groups, or individually where needed – for example, when preparing for SQA qualifications.
Instructors may also offer remote lessons via Google Meets during school holidays, study leave, or in cases of severe weather, helping to ensure continuity of learning.
A timetable of instrumental lessons is published each term and is available in the Music Department and at the School Office.
Strings (Violin, Guitar)

Instruments are normally loaned free of charge for as long as a pupil requires them.

Together, they provide high-quality tuition, supporting pupils in their musical development, performance opportunities, and preparation for exams or wider achievement activities.
