Instrumental Tuition

• Pupils receive lessons once a week during the school day, usually lasting around 25–30 minutes.
  
  

• Tuition may be delivered in small groups, or individually where needed – for example, when preparing for SQA qualifications.
  
  

• Instructors may also offer remote lessons via Google Meets during school holidays, study leave, or in cases of severe weather, helping to ensure continuity of learning.
  
  

• A timetable of instrumental lessons is published each term and is available in the Music Department and at the School Office.

• Piping, Chanter, and Whistle

• Instruments are normally loaned free of charge for as long as a pupil requires them.
  
  

• Accessories such as reeds, valve oil, or strings may need to be replaced by families as required.
  
  

• Music books and other resources may occasionally need to be purchased.

Lessons are delivered by a team of qualified and experienced Highlife Highland instrumental instructors, each a specialist in their field:

Together, they provide high-quality tuition, supporting pupils in their musical development, performance opportunities, and preparation for exams or wider achievement activities.
