The School Day

At Golspie High School, each period lasts 50 minutes. The day begins with registration, where important notices are shared, uniform is checked, and pupils are supported to get ready for learning. This structure helps ensure that all pupils are prepared and the day runs smoothly.

Monday - Thursday

Registration: 08:45 - 08:55

Period 1: 08:55 - 09:45

Period 2: 09:45 - 10:35

Break: 10:35 - 10:50 

Period 3: 10:50 - 11:40

Period 4: 11:40 - 12:30

Period 5: 12:30 - 1:20

Lunch 1:20 - 2:00

Period 6: 2:00 - 2:50

Period 7: 2:50 - 3:40

Friday

School runs as above, but closes at 12:30 (end of period 4).

The school canteen is open at both interval and lunchtime, offering a variety of hot and cold food options. Pupils are also welcome to go down the street to visit local shops during these times.

Lunchtime Activities

Pupils have a wide range of opportunities at lunchtime, alongside access to the canteen and local shops. These activities are a great way to relax, socialise, and develop new skills.
